“Cutting without cutting tools”
A Hungarian company in the field of the development and production of remote management and remote alarm tools was searching for a servicing partner for the cutting of protective foam layers used in the case of precious products.
The client’s problem:
One of the best practices for the long term protection of precious and sensitive devices is that manufacturers supply them in a case. The exact places of the contained tools and accessories are cut in the protective foam layers. When a product is not yet produced in a big number or a wide range of versions of the product is sold, or the product has many accessories, the standard foam cutting technologies are not appropriate, as those require the manufacturing of many tools, which is worth in case of cutting a small number of items.

Based on the samples provided by the client, Folprint Laser Engraving experts prepared computer cutting designs in the appropriate graphics software, and then they fixed the ideal settings, with which the shapes could be cut in the fastest way without burning the foam. The final result was a foam insert precisely fitting the protected product’s shape.
